Adlan MerloPhD Student
My name is Adlan Merlo, I have a Masters degree in Bio-Physics from the University of Grenoble and I am now a PhD student. I experimentally study the microcirculation in simplified model channel networks. The purpose of my study is to better understand the spatial and temporal heterogeneities of the distribution of red blood cells (RBCs) encountered in complex biological capillary networks. In vitro experiments mimic the main features found in vivo, while they allow for a better control of the parameters which may affect the distribution of RBCs.They also enable a straightforward comparison with the results of network simulations.
